Motorola sold its wireless broadband business to Vector Capital

On August 24, according to foreign media reports, Motorola solutions has agreed to sell its two wireless broadband services businesses to private equity fund Vector Capital, but the amount of the sale were not disclosed.

Vector Capital said under its leadership, the Motorola solution's Orthogon point and multipoint Canopy broadband products will benefit from the more appropriate and more flexible organizational structure. Vector has acquired a number of electronics companies, including RAE Systems Gas Watch Manufacturers.

The deal is expected to be completed at the end of September this year.

Vector said it would put Department of Motorola's broadband solutions company operating as an independent, names Cambium Networks. Motorola solution will continue to purchase products from Cambium to meet its public safety and federal customers.

Motorola Solutions spokesman said the department has about 220 people, but do not want to disclose the revenues of last year in this sector.
