Couples don't care public's comments and reclaim wild card will give to Woods

Two weeks ago, Couples said to the U.S. Golf Channel that he will select Woods to play the Presidents Cup as long as Woods is willing to play. On Tuesday, in the "Golf Center" program, he reiterated his previous claims, although there are many negative comments about Woods.

"Tiger is the player I want to select into the team." Couples said, "I can not imagine he is not in the team.  if Woods received a wild card and so angered a certain player, because he spent the unparalleled season, I think he should have been good enough to enter into the team."

So far, top 10 players of the Presidents Cup are: Steve Stricker, Matt Kuchar, Phil Mickelson, Nick Watney, Dustin Johnson, Bubba Watson, David Toms, Hunter Mahan, Bill Haas and Jim Furyk. Rickie Fowler and Bo Van Pelt are located at 11th and 12th. Keegan Bradley won two victories this year, including the U.S. PGA Championship, his points ranking rose from 39 to No. 18.

It is still a month until the arrival of the final deadline. But see from now, if Couples decided to select Woods, then he will certainly leave some very interesting players.
